List of Catalogues

The following digital catalogues of horses from the Onaqui Herd Management Area (HMA) are available for use FREE of charge. Catalogues and their contents are copyright to the Onaqui Catalogue Foundation and may not be sold or reproduced without explicit written permission. Users may print portions of the catalogue for personal use.

We aim for catalogue updates approximately twice a year in winter and summer, but large updates can take a year or more.

Catalogues of Currently Wild Horses

Complete Wild Catalogue (70.7 MB)

The full list of identified horses within or near the Onaqui HMA, organized by bands and color. The catalogue includes quick search options, current counts, gender distributions, horse names, a list of contributors, version revisions, and a map of the Onaqui HMA.

Wild Horse Catalogues by Region

To reduce file size and save space, the catalogue can be downloaded by region. Most visitors to the HMA see horses in the North and South regions.

Catalogues of Gathered Horses

Swasey 2024 Gathered Catalogue (6.2 MB)
Horses that had left the Onaqui HMA and were found in Off-HMA territory were rounded up during the Swasey 2024 Roundup. Learn more.

Onaqui 2021 Gathered Catalogue (18.0 MB)
The roundup of Onaqui horses occurred in July 2021, with some of the horses being returned to the range in August 2021. Learn more.

Archived Catalogues

Previous versions of the Onaqui Catalogue are available for download only in the “complete” format. The larger file size between 2023 and 2024 is due to the use of higher-quality images and the addition of internal navigation within the PDF.
